Disruption of Time
"Much has happened to our world and to my world in the last fifteen years. It is said that you can't go home again, but I did just that. I returned to Rockaway Beach, New York, where I spent my childhood summers. However, there was no physical evidence that matched my memories; nature had washed it all away. Once again I learned that there is no such thing as permanence. The one thing you can count on is that things will change. My interest in physics, color and light reached into my soul during that visit and forced me to explore my universe and the ideas that make us human.
In my paintings, I try to capture all time at once. This vibration of time relates to the vibrating strings that make up all matter in the universe. We and our surroundings are all in constant flow. Order and disruption, multiple dimensions, what is seen and cannot be seen, all become influences for my work."
